The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Table

From the very beginning of Campaign 4, recently appointed game master the talented storyteller has kept viewers on edge with extensive world-building, a diverse cast of heroes, and a gripping narrative showcasing divine entities, demons, and malevolent powers expanding in power within the city.

Warning: Key plot points for the third episode of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Introduced

Episode 3 concluded with a huge suspense moment and introduced the first table of characters who will branch out from the central cast to undertake their independent quest, apart from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis), the agile character (Laura), Tyranny (the cast member), the cleric (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

Given a large ensemble, it was obvious from the outset that having everyone at a single group would be impossible.

Hence, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Introduction, intertwining the characters’ stories before branching into three smaller tables: Warriors, Strategists, and Seekers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

As described by the DM, the warrior group is for players who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented narrative style where peaceful solutions are scarce.

Upon first impression, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might seem out of place, but the events of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are best suited for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

First, the group has a clear idea where to proceed after a intense opening clash with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose demise started the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his selfish purposes, invading Thjazi’s hideout, attacking Thimble, and swiping all the powerful objects to auction.

The traitor then paid off his obligations and ran away to a fortified location in the remote area, beyond the city, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each member has a personal reason to depart the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and best friend, wants vengeance.
  • The adventurer has experience in Timmony and advises that it is a dangerous place.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having defied his house’s orders to kill Teor and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their reputation as prominent individuals in the powerful family could enable the team reach places they normally couldn’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter vowed a life debt to The savior for his deliverance and will now follow him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are hunted by the powers that govern the city for a multiple motives, making staying in the city too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and Wicander defied the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This means them little choice but to journey toward the northern region in quest for the antagonist.

Future Episodes

From the recent installment’s post-show segment, we find out that the warrior group won’t be around in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight cast members to form the Explorers and Strategists parties.

Viewers can expect learning which adventurers will be in which group in the season’s last Overture episode, released on October 24.
